Contest Submission Guidelines:
Each contestant much submit an original video to the Red Palm Clan Discussion Forum under the “Contest” section. If your submission is posted elsewhere on the Red Palm Clan forum, it will NOT be counted as a submission. You MUST be a registered member of the Red Palm Clan Discussion Forum to post, or enter this contest!
Your video must be of the BSL set of Shaolin #6 (Tun Da) only. At the beginning of the video, you must announce who you are, how many years (or length of time) you have been practicing/studying Bak Sil Lum, what school you are representing, and who your teacher is/was.
Sets must be performed twice. First time, it must be performed at slow speed so we can see the techniques clearly. The second time, you must perform it at the normal speed of the set. At the end of your Shaolin #6 set, you must include 3 applications of which you must include a partner. Again, the first time, all 3 of these applications need to be done at slow speed and then the second time at regular speed.
This video submission has to be done in English, because we need to be able to understand it. The presentation of this video will also be taken into consideration, so be creative. Contemporary Wushu is NOT traditional Kung Fu, and so will not be counted as part of this contest.
This video is going to be judged and ruled upon by the judges determined by those that run the Red Palm Clan website and Forum. Unbiased and fair judging is what we are striving for.
The contest is running from September 1, 2010 to November 30, 2010. All entries must be in by midnight on November 30, 2010 PST, or your video will not be counted as towards this contest.
Please send any comments or questions to redpalmclan@gmail.com and we’ll be more than happy to help you.
